Abstract

One-dimensional quantum systems can host particles with peculiar exchange statistics. Here, the authors elucidate conditions for when such statistics can be connected to the sign of the recently discovered delta-$T$ noise: charge tunneling noise as a response to only a temperature gradient. This work thereby demonstrates the potential for using delta-$T$ noise as a probe of exotic particles in, e.g., fractional quantum Hall and quantum spin Hall tunneling experiments.
