Abstract

Nanoscale tailoring of Chevrel phase Mo 6 S 8 unveils its properties as a host for zinc ions. Rapid ion transport, coupled with the emergence of a previously unknown phase, transform the understanding of zinc ion (de)intercalation in these materials.
