Abstract
Abstract The pentazolate anion cyclo-N5- has received considerable attention from researchers, most metallic and non-metallic salts synthesized from pentazole have decomposition temperatures exceeding 100 °C. The author thinks, anhydrous metallic pentazolates provides prospects for wide application in the field of green, non-toxic, high-energy primary explosives. Hydrazine pentazolate and hydroxylamine pentazolate which have nitrogen contents of 95% are regarded as non-metallic pentazolates with the best performance and application prospects. Optimize synthesis processes of pentazole and functional group-modified pentazolate compounds will be the key direction in pentazole chemistry.
