Abstract
Tetra- and hexanuclear nitrate, chloride and sulphate Ni( ii ) and Cu( ii ) complexes have been synthesized from metal salts and 6 + 6 macrocycle. The ligand conformation in the complexes depends on the number of metal cations bound with the macrocycle.
