Abstract

Nowadays, more and more satellites are launched into space, making the limited resource of spectrum more and more scarce. The shortage of spectrum resources will limit the development of satellite communication. More and more scholars are concerned about solving the problem of spectrum shortage through spectrum sharing. Spectrum sharing between LEO and GEO in the Ka band can improve spectrum efficiency. Therefore, the adoption of Ka band by LEO will inevitably produce co-channel interference with GEO satellites already deployed in this band. This paper first analyzes the downlink interference of LEO and GEO spectrum-sharing networks. Then a joint multi-beam power control method for LEO and GEO is proposed to jointly control the transmission power of the beams of LEO and GEO. The simulation results show that the proposed method can transmit more data and improve the spectrum utilization rate under the premise of guaranteeing GEO service quality.
