Abstract
The monitoring of the viromes of mosquitoes and Culicoides , widely distributed arbovirus transmission vectors, is crucial to evaluate the risk of infectious disease transmission. In this study, the compositions of the viromes of mosquitoes and Culicoides on Zhoushan Island varied widely and were related mainly to the host species, with different host species having different core viromes. and many unknown sequences in the Culicoides viromes remain to be annotated, suggesting the presence of a large number of unknown viruses.
