Abstract
Abstract This paper presents the results of modeling the upper atmosphere of the exoplanet GJ 436b, performed using a previously developed one-dimensional self-consistent aeronomic model. The model used considers the contribution of suprathermal particles, which significantly refines the function of atmospheric heating. Altitude profiles of temperature, velocity, and density are obtained, and the rate of atmospheric loss is calculated. The calculations of the atmospheric loss rate are compared with the results obtained from observations and using other models.
