Abstract
Atomically thin boron carbon nitride nanosheets (BCNNS) with high quality and large lateral size are synthesized <italic>via</italic> a novel molten salt assisted assembly growth strategy. The BCNNS show enhanced photocatalytic H<sub>2</sub> evolution activity in visible light.
