Bifunctional electrochemical OER and HER activity of Ta<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub> nanoparticles over Fe<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> nanoparticles

Abstract
We have synthesized a Fe 2 O 3 /Ta 2 O 5 double oxide heterostructure using a facile hydrothermal method. The resulting composite exhibits strong OER/HER activity - at an overpotential of 231/201 -and a Tafel slope value of 80/136 mV dec −1 in an alkaline and acidic medium respectively.
