Abstract
A series of nonlinear optical chromophores <bold>A–D</bold> based on the diethylaminophenyl donor and tricyanofuran or phenyl-trifluoromethyl-tricyanofuran acceptors coupled through a tetraene bridge was synthesized and investigated.
