The impact of digitalization on supply chain management: a literature review

Abstract
Challenges that supply chains are facing need smooth and intelligent processes that facilitate the communication between machines and people in order to create value and achieve a certain degree of agility. The Internet of things, Big data, smart factories and contracts are emerging and imposing a new business model to companies. To create a value in supply chains it is crucial to optimize all its activities. This paper shows the role of digital enablers in increasing the performance of its constituents and how digitalization affects the profitability of these activities individually and collectively.
