Abstract
A novel dithiotrifluoromethylation reagent phthN-SSCF<sub>3</sub> was designed and prepared for the incorporation of a SSCF<sub>3</sub> unit into complex molecules and the stereoselective construction of a SSCF<sub>3</sub>-tethered quaternary carbon center.
