Graphics with the ggplot2 Package: An Introduction

Abstract

In Chapter 7, the functions and syntax in the ggplot2 package are introduced. The qplot() function is described and a table of the geometries used by qplot() (also ggplot()) and what the geometries do is displayed. A code listing for a plot using qplot(), along with the plot, are given. An overview of the function ggplot() and the ancillary functions used with ggplot() is given, along with a code listing and plot demonstrating the use of ggplot() and aes().
