Abstract
Vancomycin is associated with nephrotoxicity, and the mechanism may in part be related to oxidative stress. In vitro and preclinical studies suggest that melatonin supplementation decreases oxidative stress. The objective of this study was to evaluate concomitant use of melatonin and vancomycin and the incidence of acute kidney injury (AKI).
