The influence of air ions on the particle concentration in indoor environments – A systematic literature review
A. Hartmann, Martin Kriegel
Abstract
This literature review aims to sum up existing studies regarding the influence of positively as well as negatively charged ions on particles in indoor environments, as well as supply air ducts. Some studies show a statistical influence of the ions on the particle concentration in the room, whereas other studies do not. Finally, the most important information is summarized, and research questions are raised to focus on in future research. The current knowledge is used as a starting point to answer the research questions.
