Abstract
The probe 1-[(2-hydroxy-4,6-dimethoxy-benzylidene)-hydrazonomethyl]-naphthalen-2-ol (H 2 L) shows aggregation induced emission in 2 : 8 (v/v) CH 3 CN/H 2 O medium and functions as a sensitive chemoreceptor for HTFA vapour and CN − via different approaches.
