Abstract

Matrix Diffractive Deep Neural Networks In article number 2300903, Yuzhong Wang, Axiang Yu, Yayun Cheng, and Jiaran Qi propose the Matrix Diffractive Deep Neural Networks, a general framework effectively merging polarization into meta-devices. Advanced polarization-loaded meta-devices are demonstrated with exceptional functionality and high capacity, including optoelectronic classifier, Jones Matrix full parameter modulator, and custom-polarization encryptors. This work provides a new paradigm enabling advanced cascaded spatial light/wave modulators, which further drives the evolution of meta-devices toward superior functionality, multi-task integration, and design scalability.
