Abstract
WC–Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> composites possess higher corrosion resistance compared with WC–Co cemented carbide. The main corrosion mechanism for WC–Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> composites is the oxidation of the WC phase.
