Symmetry violation of quantum multifractality: Gaussian fluctuations versus algebraic localization

Abstract
The authors study symmetry in the spectrum of anomalous multifractal dimensions and show that its absence signals the existence of either random fluctuations at the smallest scales or inhomogeneous large-scale modulations of the eigenstates' structure in the relevant basis.
