Abstract

Sieve analyses will compare Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) sequences from breakthrough infections in vaccine recipients to the sequences found in placebo recipients to understand if vaccination fails to protect against specific genetic variants, characterize the potential impact of vaccines on SARS-CoV-2 evolution, and help design nextgeneration vaccines.
