Abstract

Indoor localization has become the focus of several research studies in recent years. It is very prominent in a wide range of services, such as location-based services. The indoor localization system is a part of the Internet of Thing (IoT) framework, which provides real-time tracking and monitoring solution. This research study aims to provide an update on the recently proposed localization systems. In this paper, localization techniques and emerging technologies are discussed and highlighted their strength and weakness. Different proposed systems are discussed and evaluated based on accuracy, robustness, scalability, complexity, and cost. This survey provides the researcher's guideline and an excellent platform to further their research in indoor localization.
