Abstract

Abstract The concept of In-Mold Electronics (IME) has emerged as a highly transformative technology. IME offers huge potential for innovation by enabling automobile manufacturers to smoothly integrate electronic circuits with varied structures and surfaces across different products. Nevertheless, there is a lack of comprehensive study of the electrical attributes related to the IME circuits, specifically the screen-printed circuits on polycarbonate substrate followed by the thermoforming process to use in automobile applications. This study aims to investigate the influence of manufacturing parameters related to screen-printing and thermoforming on IME circuit performance, which is dedicated to its application in the automobile industry.
