Abstract
The widespread application of telemedicine and self-monitoring was brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and currently, they have become common ways of managing non-communicable diseases in primary health care. Innovations introduced need to be maintained and integrated into conventional traditional practices, so that health systems are more resilient to future public health emergencies.
