Abstract
An enhanced near-infrared emission can be achieved by Ho<sup>3+</sup>/Er<sup>3+</sup> energy transfer bridges in LiGaW<sub>2</sub>O<sub>8</sub>:Yb<sup>3+</sup>, Ho<sup>3+</sup>/Er<sup>3+</sup>, Cr<sup>3+</sup> up-conversion phosphors.
