Abstract

mouse infection model and showed low capacities to colonize the liver, grow in the presence of CP, and resist neutrophil killing. Overall, our findings demonstrate that ZnuABC is essential for C. violaceum virulence, contributing to subversion of zinc-based host nutritional immunity.
