Human Capital Sustainability Leadership and Healthy Organizations

Abstract
This chapter presents the Human Capital Sustainability Leadership construct and the Human Capital Sustainability Leadership Scale (HCSLS) to operationalize it. Furthermore, it aims to delineate the importance of Human Capital Sustainability Leadership for healthy workers, healthy businesses, and healthy organizations in the framework of the psychology of sustainability and sustainable development. The value of Human Capital Sustainability Leadership is also introduced in a cross-cultural perspective. Empirical studies are presented to support the value of Human Capital Sustainability Leadership for healthy organizations as well as to suggesting future perspectives for research and intervention, including preventive approaches. Human Capital Sustainability Leadership is thus a promising concept and resource for healthy organizations from a cross-cultural perspective and for sustainable development in organizations.
