Abstract

Palmistry is all about belief. Some people believe in the predictions about the future and characteristics of a person while some do not. Palmistry is the claim of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm. Predictions are made on the basis of the color of palm, the spacing between fingers, length of fingers, position and length of palm lines, mounts, and various other things of palm. We have performed palmistry using machine learning and OpenCV. We have determined the color of palm, the spacing between fingers and detected three principal palm lines using a canny edge detector, along with some morphological operations. Based on this, we have predicted the characteristics of an individual. We have also mentioned the use of color of palm skin in the health sector and research work to predict whether a person may or may not have the disease or any other sufferings.
