Abstract

In recent years, the demand for renewable energy sources has increased rapidly claiming their due share in the growing energy demands. Photovoltaic (PV) technology is currently considered to be an effective, efficient, and clean source of energy. Although, it has some challenges like inconsistency and uncertainty of climate profiles which can be tackled by selecting a better installation location and improving energy conversion efficiency. In this paper, an efficient and linear incremental conductance (IC) algorithm is deployed to track the maximum power point (MPP) of the grid-connected PV array. After the analysis of the various maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques, a codesign technique is proposed to obtain optimized design parameters for the PV system. Furthermore, the comprehensive design of the DC/AC inverter system is also merged in comparison with existing PV Systems.
