Abstract

A series of Pt x Sn y intermetallic nanoparticles including Pt 3 Sn, PtSn, PtSn 2 , and PtSn 4 were successfully synthesized by an HMDS-assisted method, and the ethanol oxidation reaction tests show that an Sn : Pt molar ratio of 1 : 1 shows the best activity.
