Energy-efficient UV-to-NIR active smart electrochromic tetrabenzofluorene molecules

Abstract

A structural design strategy is presented here for developing a unique class of UV to NIR absorbing electrochromes with energy storage properties by anchoring TBF with regioisomers of thiophenes and an electron-acceptor 5-acetyl-2-thienyl moiety.
