Abstract

Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) infections are increasingly identified in solid organ transplant recipients (SOTRs), but data on the clinical outcomes and risk factors for death following such infections remain limited. Here, we reported CRKP infection was associated with 38.3% of overall 30-day mortality in SOTRs. Independent risk factors for death after CRKP infection included older age, allograft failure, and septic shock. Appropriate targeted therapy was important for alleviating the impact of CRKP infections on these SOTRs.
