Developments on Generative AI

Abstract
Generative AI is a form of artificial intelligence that generates original and genuine content in many areas, such as texts, images, or programming code, using simple user inputs that induce creativity. Generative AI models have a broad impact, and their applications are continuously evolving. Generative AI models are still in their early phases, allowing opportunities for growth in certain areas due to their ongoing development. Generative AI could generate novel content, depending on user input, unlike typical AI models that discover patterns in training data and learn to predict, classify, recommend, or assist in decision-making. Generative AI may learn from existing objects to create realistic, scaled objects that match the training data without repeating it. Generative AI could generate new photos, videos, music, voice, text, software code, and product designs. Prompt paradigm and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) gradually transform GAI from task-specific to generic pattern, allowing it to solve various complex structure–activity correlations. In this chapter, we discuss GAI’s development, classifications, applications, and challenges.
