Abstract

The article is dedicated to topical issues of control and calculation of residual life of the bogie frame of shunting locomotives operated on the railroad of Uzbekistan. Mathematical methods for calculating the residual life of locomotives are presented in the article and the expediency of extending the service life of shunting locomotives at the earliest stage of their development is substantiated. The outcomes were obtained with the help of the Solid works software environment which allows analyzing calculations and revealing forces acting on the bogie frame of locomotives. The mathematical description of forces acting during the bogie frame of locomotives is also presented. The methods of bogie frame residual life forecasting and service life extension of shunting locomotives are investigated.
