Abstract
The erosion of sticky particles takes more effort than the erosion of non-cohesive particles. This is evidenced by the challenge of cleaning dusty surfaces or eroding cohesive sediments. By finely tuning the cohesion between particles, this study reports the effects of cohesion on the onset of erosion of a cohesive granular bed by an impinging turbulent jet.
