Abstract

Abstract A simple catalytic system consisting of Mo(0) and ortho‐quinone as catalyst and phosphine as a reductant has been developed for the synthesis of pyridoisoindoles and pyridoisoindolium salts through the deoxygenation of carbonyl compounds.
