Abstract
The Bus Tracking System serves as the foundation for this research, and the development of a GPS monitoring application is the major objective of this paper is that is capable of tracking school buses in a manner that is both more precise and efficient than existing bus-tracking systems. The fact that so much of the students’ valuable time in college is lost due to the fact that they have to wait for the bus along their specific route provided us with the impetus to conduct the research that led to the writing of our paper. In addition, for the students who have already missed their specific bus, there is a paucity of information on the buses that are still travelling on their route; yet, this information is intended for them. These students could use this information to catch up on their missed bus. This work may be broken down into three sections. The initial step involves the position of the bus being obtained from a satellite, which is followed by the information being processed by the Kalman filter is being sent to specialised web servers with the assistance of cellular networks. The second step of the procedure involves running the coordinates that were acquired from the Google Maps API. On the third step, the information that was obtained from the Google Maps API is processed in the user’s device in order to display the user’s current location.
