Abstract

A novel carbon-centered radical cyclization of <italic>N</italic>-propargyl indoles with α-keto acids to form acylated pyrrolo[1,2-<italic>a</italic>]indoles involving difunctionalisation of the alkyne moiety with concomitant annulation is disclosed.
