Abstract

A Mg–Mo 2 C composite is prepared with excellent hydrogen generation properties by hydrolysis. During Mg hydrolysis, Mo 2 C enhances the self-hydrolysis of Mg and induces the electrochemical hydrolysis of Mg using its high HER catalytic activity.
