Spectral properties and self-reduction of Eu<sup>3+</sup> to Eu<sup>2+</sup> in aluminosilicate oxyfluoride glass

Abstract
We found that the reduction Eu 3+ →Eu 2+ occurred in aluminosilicate oxyfluoride glass prepared in air. The energy transfer from Eu 2+ to Eu 3+ and the emission mechanisms of Eu 2+ were discussed.
