Abstract

In engineering approaches, advanced numerical simulation has the capability to provide acceptable solution for complex problems, in which complexity deals the tough working environment based problems, problems based on difficulty in nature of construction, etc., In this work, also deals with similar kind of complex problem, which is nothing but impact behavioral studies on various composites with the help of system coupling. The conceptual design of composite test specimen is modeled by using ANSYS Design Modeler 17.2 in which the dimensions data are extracted from ASTM standard. The assignment of fibre with matrix in a right manner is completed and thereby the pure composite laminate is generated in ANSYS ACP-Pre 17.2. Totally ten different composite models are constructed and the structural analysis are executed under impact load conditions, by using ANSYS static structural 17.2. Finally, the comparative studies are examined and thereby the optimization is finalized based on strain energy.
