Abstract
There has been much recent interest in exotic superconductivity involving a Fermi surface of Bogoliubov quasiparticles, the so-called Bogoliubov Fermi surface (BG-FS). Here, the authors prove that a centrosymmetric BG-FS becomes unstable under a pairing formation of Bogoliubov quasiparticles. They also prove that the Fermi surface survives even under this instability, in stark contrast to the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer mechanism of superconductivity. This work opens up new possibilities for competing orders in new topological materials, such as FeSe and Sr${}_{2}$RuO${}_{4}$, which may help in the search for exotic superconductivity.
