Abstract

Redox-mediated interconversion of oxide to hydroxide (M 4+ O 2− + H 2 O + e − ↔ M 3+ OH − + OH − ) in aqueous media is the key reason for the high capacity of Y 1− x Sr x MnO 3− δ electrodes .
