Abstract
Abstract The reaction between equimolar amounts of Cd(OH)2 and octafluorobiphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid H2oFBPDC in methanol at 40 and 70°С has been investigated. Two new metal-organic coordination polymers have been obtained and structurally characterized, namely chain-like [Cd3(CH3OH)10(oFBPDC)3]⋅2CH3OH (I) and layered [Cd(CH3OH)3(oFBPDC)] (II). It is shown that the increase of the temperature of the synthesis leads to the formation of coordination polymer of higher dimensionality with less amount of guest and coordinated solvent molecules.
