Abstract
The effect of laser surface remelting (LSR) on pitting corrosion behavior of TC4-30Zr alloy was investigated. The results showed that the α/α' phase was transformed into β phase after LSR. The grain was refined and the (110) crystal plane texture was produced. At the same time, nano-twins appeared. The content of TiO2 and ZrO2 in the passivation film increased, and the thickness of the passivation film increased by 4.12 times. The generation of (110) crystal plane texture and nano-twins reduced the pitting sensitivity by reducing the surface energy and increasing the vacancy density of the passivation film.
