Abstract
Abstract Nanomaterials as oil‐based lubricant additives improve the tribological properties of oils, and its enormous potential in oil‐based applications has attracted increasing attention. However, 2D materials have limited applications in industry due to its high price. 3D graphene (3D Gr) has become a substitute of 2D graphene because of its low price. Hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN) is known as white graphene and is a material with potential lubrication applications. In this paper, the combination of the two different dimensions materials not only plays a significant role in reducing environmental pollution, but also exerts excellent properties of both materials. The results show that the mixed‐dimensional nanomaterials have good macroscopic lubricity under oil.
