Abstract

A dual-cation-based ionic liquid electrolyte with NaPF 6 additive, was designed for nickel-rich cathodes in Li-metal battery. The formed uniform and robust electrode/electrolyte interphases enables the exceptional 1500-cycle life of Li||NCM83 cells.
