Abstract

This article investigates the application of inkjet printing (IjP) for the fabrication of low-temperature electronics. It delineates the constituent components of inks employed in printing technologies and explores strategies for minimizing the postprocessing temperatures of functional layers within electronic device components. The article further examines how advanced materials, ink formulations, and printing processes contribute to achieving the lowest possible processing temperatures. An overview of the physical and chemical processing methods utilized in IjP is provided, along with an analysis of the advantages and limitations associated with each approach. Finally, the article emphasizes the significance of IjP and underscores the necessity for continued research to develop more efficient and reliable technologies aimed at realizing room-temperature electronics.
