Abstract
The information on initial geometry is an indispensable prerequisite for the collective observables to probe the properties of quark-gluon plasma created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, which cannot be directly determined by experiment. A novel idea of mapping the initial geometry with linearly polarized photons is demonstrated, directly linking the initial geometry to the final collective observables.
