Preliminary phase 1 results from an HIV vaccine candidate trial
Priya Venkatesan
Abstract
Findings from a small US trial in 48 HIV-negative adults presented last week at the HIV Research for Prevention (HIVR4P) virtual conference showed that 97% of participants who received an HIV vaccine immunogen candidate developed VRC01-class IgG B cells, precursors to broadly neutralising VRC01-class antibodies. The results have been announced in a press release, but are not published or peer-reviewed yet.
