Halide-triggered assembly and selective bisulfate recognition in a quadruply interlocked coordination cage

Abstract
A Pd 2 L 4 coordination cage based on a bis-pyrazole methane backbone can be triggered by halides to form interlocked X@Pd 4 L 8 dimers that selectively recognize bisulfate over other tetrahedral anions.
